Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu 
Altitude: 1350m/4428ft
Meals: Welcome Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu

We'll meet you upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. In the afternoon, we'll hold a comprehensive briefing session to discuss the Ghorepani Poon Hill with Mardi Himal Trek itinerary. This will be your chance to ask any questions you may have about the trek. In the evening, we'll meet for welcome dinner at a charming Nepalese restaurant. This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow trekkers and get to know your guide. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02 Drive to Pokhara
Altitude: 822m/2696ft
Meals: Breakfast
Drive: 5-6 hours (205km)
Accommodation: Hotel in Pokhara

After breakfast, you'll board a comfortable tourist bus for the scenic journey to Pokhara, the enchanting starting point for the trek. The ride takes approximately 5-6 hours, offering breathtaking views of cascading springs, the picturesque Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers, and verdant Himalayan foothills. Pokhara Valley mesmerized by the serenity of its numerous lakes. As if painted by a master artist, the majestic peaks of Annapurna, Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Lamjung Himal stand tall, creating a dramatic backdrop to this unforgettable destination.

For those seeking a quicker option, we can arrange a direct flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (additional cost applies). This 25-minute flight allows you to maximize your time in Pokhara, a captivating valley renowned for its stunning beauty. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 03 Drive to Birethanti then trek to Ulleri 
Altitude: 1960m/6428ft
Hiking: 4-5 hrs

Your adventure begins with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara to Birethanti, the official starting point of the Mardi Himal Trek via Poon Hill. The journey follows the Modi Khola River, offering glimpses of charming local villages, traditional teahouses, and emerald green rolling. The landscape comes alive with vibrant scenes. Observe the daily lives of local people, witness the beauty of cascading rivers, and soak in the fresh mountain air. After passing through the picturesque village of Hile, you'll arrive in Tikhedhunga. Here, the trail takes a more challenging turn, ascending steeply on a stone staircase across a suspension bridge.

Your efforts will be rewarded upon reaching Ulleri, a sizable Magar village. This charming settlement welcomes you with stunning vistas of Hiunchuli and the majestic Annapurna South. Here, you can experience the unique culture of the Magar people and savor breathtaking mountain views before embarking on the next leg of your trek. Overnight at Teahoues/Lodge at Ulleri.

Day 04 Trek to Ghorepani 
Altitude: 2880m/9446ft
Hiking: 4-5 hrs
Accommodation: Tea House/Lodges
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 

After breakfast in Ulleri, your trek begins. The trail winds its way through a captivating landscape, transitioning from Ulleri to Banthanti. Immerse yourself in the beauty of rhododendron and oak forests, following alongside the Bhurungdi Khola River. Nature enthusiasts will be particularly delighted by this section of the trek. Prepare for an exciting adventure as you spend a significant part of the day traversing a vibrant jungle. If you embark on this journey during spring, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking display of blooming rhododendrons, vibrant birdlife, and captivating views of snow-capped peaks peeking through the dense foliage.

The trek culminates with a short climb out of the jungle, leading you to the charming village of Ghorepani. Here, your efforts will be rewarded with a truly magnificent panorama. Day 05 Hike to Poon Hill (3210m/10528ft) then trek to Tadapani 
Altitude: 2630m/8626ft
Hiking: 5-6 hrs

Rise early and embark on a short hike from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210m). This vantage point is undeniably a photographer's dream, offering a spectacular panorama of the Himalayan giants. As the sun begins to rise, witness the majestic peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, and many more come alive with a breathtaking display of color. Savor the awe-inspiring moment and capture unforgettable images of this natural wonder.

After breakfast in Ghorepani, you'll head towards Tadapani, another charming village nestled amidst stunning mountain scenery. The trail takes you through a scenic forest path, passing by Deurali and offering glimpses of oak and rhododendron trees. A gentle descent through rhododendron forests leads you to Banthanti. From here, the route ascends, passing through a cane field, before crossing the Bhurungdi Khola River. A final climb through a steep section of forest for about 20 minutes brings you to Tadapani, where you can relax and enjoy the captivating views of the Annapurna peaks.

Day 06 Trek to Landruk (1565m) via Ghandruk 
Altitude: 1565m/5133ft
Hiking: 5-6 hrs

The trail from Tadapani to Ghandruk offers a welcome respite. This relatively easy section winds through enchanting oak and rhododendron forests. Keep your eyes peeled for vibrant wildflowers that add a touch of color to the captivating landscape. Ghandruk boasts breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machapuchare, Annapurna III, and Hiunchuli, making it a true feast for the eyes. Beyond the scenic beauty, Ghandruk offers a rich cultural experience. Explore the village and discover its traditional architecture, with many houses featuring distinctive stone walls and slate-tiled roofs. Immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting the museum.

After lunch at Ghandruk, your journey concludes with a scenic walk to Landruk. This tranquil village can be reached by traversing the small village of Phedi and crossing the Modi River. Day 07 Trek to Low Camp

The trail from Landruk to Forest Camp presents a challenging but rewarding ascent. Prepare for a steeper climb as you traverse charming pine and juniper hamlets. As you gain altitude, the majestic peaks will begin to reveal themselves in all their glory. Forest Camp, nestled amidst this stunning backdrop, offers a tranquil escape. It's a truly remote location with only a few basic lodges catering to trekkers. From Forest Camp, your adventure continues along the well-established Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek route. Day 08 Trek to High Camp 
Altitude: 3600m/11808ft

Your adventure continues with a challenging yet exhilarating trek from Low Camp to High Camp via Badal Danda. Embark on an hour-long ascent through a vibrant rhododendron forest, where nature's beauty unfolds before your eyes. As you climb higher, the trail becomes more demanding, but the rewards are extraordinary. Be prepared to be mesmerized by the panoramic vistas of Mardi Himal, the majestic Annapurna Range, and the iconic Machhapuchhre. The trail narrows into a thrilling ridge, offering breathtaking views of the vast valleys on either side.

To your left, the Modi Khola River Valley stretches out, dotted with charming villages that cascade towards the Annapurna Sanctuary. On your right, the Mardi Khola and Seti River valleys unfold, presenting a mesmerizing tapestry of nature. On clear days, even the distant Pokhara Valley can be glimpsed, adding to the grandeur of the experience. The final push to High Camp requires determination and endurance. Day 09 Trek to Mardi Base Camp & return to Badal Danda (3250m/10660ft)

Be prepared for a demanding trek as you navigate a series of steep and uneven steps. The journey to Mardi Himal Base Camp, situated at an impressive altitude of 4,500 meters, is no easy feat. Once at the base camp, you'll be captivated by a panoramic vista of snow-capped giants. Day 10 Trek to Siding then Drive to Pokhara

Once in Siding, enjoy a leisurely lunch to replenish your energy before continuing your journey. A shared jeep will then transport you to the vibrant city of Pokhara. This is the perfect opportunity to reflect on your incredible trekking adventure and savor the beauty of Nepal.

Day 11 Drive  to Kathmandu

Drive: 5-6 hours (205km)

Meals: Farewell Dinner

After a fulfilling adventure, it's time to make your way back to Kathmandu. Enjoy a comfortable ride on a deluxe tourist bus as you traverse the scenic Prithvi Highway. This approximately 205-kilometer journey takes around 5-6 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Along the way, you'll pass through bustling towns like Damauli, Dumre, and Mugling, offering a glimpse into the vibrant Nepalese culture and lifestyle.

To celebrate the successful completion of your Ghorepani Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek, a farewell dinner awaits you in Kathmandu. Don't forget to purchase souvenirs to cherish your adventure or capture lasting memories through photographs.

Day 12 Final Departure

OUR GUIDES, TRIP AND SAFETY
Because these hikes take you on the remote Himalayan region, it is very essential that you be accompanied with the very experienced and qualified leader for the safe and successful trip. We Advanced Adventure employee the local trek guide and stuff who are trained and qualified on the trip we worked on. Our guides are trained and licensed from Nepal Gov. certify from Nepal Tourism Board.

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION
Nepal visa is the easiest visa to obtain; you may buy your Nepal visa at your nearest Nepalese Embassy/ Consulate or Mission offices abroad or buy this upon on arrival to Kathmandu international airport as per your convenient. You have to have 2 passport size photographs, Visa fees in US cash & valid passport at least for 6 months valid at the starting of the trip.

GROUP SIZE:  
In this Mardi Himal Trek, the minimum group size would be two and maximum group size is ten or more on request. We can also organize private trip to solo person with single supplement cost. Else, join our estimated group departure dates available or ask us with your personal dates, we will open group date on the same date.

MEALS AND ACCOMMODATIONS: 
Your accommodation in Kathmandu & Pokhara will be your own. While in this trek; your accommodation is at Mt. Lodge and local teahouses. Our entire accommodation is at twin share unless stated but triple sharing accommodation is also available on personal request. 
During trek, full board of meals is provided (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Tea- Coffee). We provide you food from the local tea- house/ Mt. Lodge from en route. Breakfast and dinner is to be provided from the same tea- house/ guesthouse we would overnight but lunch would be en route in between. You will have basic choice of food on this trek. 

TREKKING SEASONS:
We do have two best seasons to attempt this trek to Mardi Himal Trek. We always suggest you to come at the right time of the year to enjoy this trek with best weather and excellent visibility. Below is our seasons. 
Spring: - (March, April, May) - Best warmest time to trek. Rhododendron flowers in bloom- excellent trails and clear skies, best visibility. Good Temperature, warmest weather of the year.
Autumn: - (September, October and November) - excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility. 
Winter months: - (December, January and February) are also good, but it’s obviously colder. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to you to plan this trek at this cold time or not.
Summer: - Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid-June, July and August). But trekking can be done without any hesitation. Bring your raincoat.

MOUNTAIN WEATHER:
The weather conditions in the mountains are notoriously difficult to predict. During the day it can be nice and warm and the nights are generally always cooler. The weather you will experience at Ghorepani Poonhill and Mardi Himal is simply extreme and rather unpredictable so it is best to be prepared for all eventualities. Temperature during this trek, the expected temperature during a day is from 5-12 degree Celsius during the spring and autumn months. The nights can fall into 0 to negative 5 degree Celsius. However, above given chats of temperature are the expected but temperature can be different as per the everyday weather conditions of the mountain so it is unpredictable. Expect the unexpected!

TRAVEL INSURANCE & VACCINATION:
You must obtain personal travel insurance to join us for our Himalayan trips. You must be having a travel insurance, which must cover helicopter evacuation, trip cancellation and medical expenses. And it is suggested that you buy your insurance policy from you homeland country before travelling, as it is difficult buying local travel insurance policy at Nepal. Vaccination is generally requested to plan to your trip to Nepal but it is not a must to have thing to come, but highly suggested. Your doctor will have the information of vaccination you would require to the country you will be travelling. Hepatitis A, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio, Rabies, Tetanus, Typhoid and Malaria etc. are the recommended vaccination for travel Nepal.

It is essential to have warm clothing and equipment to plan this trip. Here below are some suggestions for planning this trek to Mardi Himal. Please take it as a reference and prepare your own clothing and equipment.
Head: Sun hat or scarf, Light balaclava or warm fleece hat, Sunglasses with UV protection, and Lip balm
