Bardiya Jungle Escape tour is the Nature trip to explore the wildlife of the Bardia National Park. The Bardia National Park(968 square km) is one of the largest wildlife reserve in Nepal. It has been protecting a variety of flora and fauna, including rare animals found only in the region.
The national park is the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. This National Park enclaves a variety of wildlife, including endangered One-horned rhinos, Wild elephants, Swamp deer, Black buck, Mugger crocodiles Gharial, and Gangetic Dolphins as well as more than 30 different mammals and over 400 species of birds.

Day 01 Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj & transfer to Bardia National Park

Activities: one hour flight and 2 hours drive

As per the flight schedule for Nepalgunj, we will transfer to the domestic airport for one and half hour scenic flight to Nepalgung. After your arrival at Bardia, you will be transferred to the lodge where you will be offered refreshments. You will also be given a short briefing about the trip. After the briefing and refreshing, we will leave the hotel for the village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus.
Day 02 Jungle excursion & Elephant back Safari in Bardia
Activities: Jungle activities

As Elephants are the largest, most mighty, and most well-trained animals, we will go for the Jeep safari. We will go for the exploration of the wildlife in the areas which are impossible to go on foot so, it's claimed to be an ideal program to search for wildlife. Jeep Ride is an excellent opportunity to get a lifetime experience to explore the wildlife of the national park. You will also get plentiful and excellent photographic opportunities.

As Karnali River runs through the Bardia National Park, it has become an additional habitat for wildlife. It has been an extra source of our program. In this huge freshwater river, we will take you on a proper raft to encounter the wild lives while they might be drinking or wallowing. It's also the ultimate witness for rare freshwater river dolphins you also may have a high chance to see them jumping in the river. We will also go for the tiger tracking & bird watching trip. We will get an excellent opportunity to explore the Royal Bengal Tiger and a great many species of birds found in Bardia.
Day 04 Departure from Bardia

Activities: 2 hours drive and one hour flight

After breakfast, in the early morning, we will take you to the Nepaljung airport. On arrival at Nepalgunj depending upon the connecting flight schedule to Kathmandu, we will fly back to the capital. If we return in the afternoon, we will have a few hours for refreshment in the comfort of the Hotel at Nepalgunj. We will then connect with a flight back to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your hotel.

Even for the most seasoned traveler, it's still important to be up to speed on Nepal before you arrive in the country. So here are few things to be considered:
Best Season
Nepal has five season temperate climate. Due to its location, landscape and power outages those seasons often dictate when the best time to visit.
Autumn: The peak tourist season is in the autumn between September to late November. This is just after the monsoon season so the air is dry and clear. This is perfect time for visiting Nepal if you are going trekking also.
Winter: December and January are cold winter months throughout Nepal. Though it doesn't snow in any of the main non-trekking cities in Nepal it does hit freezing.
Spring: February to April is Nepal's second busiest tourist season. The climate starts cold but in preceding months get increasingly warm. Flowers in the valleys begin to bloom and there's little rain. It does however get quite hazy so mountain views will be lessened.
Summer: May to June is the start of the pre-monsoon summer. It gets hot and humid with several showers on the hottest of days. Climate change has meant a lengthening of showers.
Summer (monsoon): June to late August is when the monsoon rains hit Nepal. Climate change again mean that the monsoon may be earlier or later than this. Rain are heavier and there's a risk of flooding in places. The sky is heavy with cloud but it also means blooming flowers and lush green valleys.
Nepal Visa/Entry Requirement
Nepal visa can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. Your passport needs to be valid for 6 months after your return dates and two passport-size photo with a light background.
Nationals of SAARC countries and China do not need visa when visiting Nepal. As per this rule, Indian nationals do not require visa.Transit visa is provided for foreign nationality for 3 days. Visa must be obtained for staying over the initial period of three days.

Money Matter
Always keep your encashment receipt while making foreign exchange payments or exchanging rupees from any foreign currency. You might need the receipt to exchange the money left over from your trip before you leave. Service providers such as hotels, travel agencies, and airlines accept foreign currency for payment of service provided. American Express, Master and Visa are widely accepted by the tourism service providers. ATM machines are available in most of the cities but many local banks do not offer withdraw service to the foreign cards. You can contact some international banks such as Standard Chartered, Nabil, SBI and Everest to withdraw money from ATM.
Health Advice
No vaccinations are required. But it's wise to be inoculated against typhoid and hepatitis A. Depending on how long you plan to stay, you may also want to get vaccinations for rabies, meningitis and Japanese encephalitis. We recommends to carry mosquito repellents if you are visiting in summer can be wise or you can buy it in Kathmandu if you are travelling to the southern plain of Nepal. Consulting your doctor is a better idea.
People/Language/Time Difference/Currency
Nepal is a country of mixed settlements of various ethnic groups and castes. They welcome travelers with their best hospitality. Nepalese greet each other by saying "Namaste" joining both palms together meaning "I salute the divine in you". It is used both when people meet and depart. Nepali is the official language. Other Hindu dialects are spoken however English is widely spoken across the country.
The GMT of Nepal is +5:45 and currency used is Nepalese Rupees (NPR).

Accommodations
For Kathmandu, we use 3 star hotel which are available for the overnight. While options of resorts and lodges are very limited at Bardia, the star category cannot be comparable with Kathmandu Hotels. Based on your requirement, we can arrange suitable budget hotels from standard, deluxe to luxury.
Meals
All meals in Kathmandu hotel include only breakfast while full board will be served in Bardia National Park. On the day of arrival, there is welcome cultural dinner hosted in typical and authentic Nepali restaurant.
Transportation
In every trip, we use our private transport based on your itinerary. We provide car for 1-3 person, jeep or tourist van for up to 10 persons. Since Bardia National Park is 576km west of Kathmandu, this tour includes returned domestic airfare for Kathmandu-Nepalgunj-Kathmandu.
Road Safety
Due to country geographical region, few roads in Nepal that are badly maintained with massive potholes and many are constructed round the terrain which includes winding roads, bends and steep precipices with no safety barriers. Thus, driving during night is particularly dangerous in Nepal and any journey is best done in daylight hours. Also depending upon the weather and traffic conditions, your trip duration might extend but it is very less probability. Advanced Adventures team will assists you over such matters.

But roaming around or avoiding the tour guide's instruction may turn life-threatening in the world of wildlife.
10. How fit do I need to be for this tour?

11. What is the best time to visit Bardia?
Bardia can be visited all year round. The best season for Bardia National Park Tour is during autumn, winter and early summer. Days will be warm during these season with cool nights. Peak summer days get hot and rainy seasons may witness floods near the riverbank. Bardia will still have its charm to offer in all seasons.
12. Are there ATM all over Nepal?
Many bank have opened ATM outlets in most of the city in Nepal. The bank informed the customers owning Visa, MasterCard, Union Pay and SCT can directly withdraw money from its ATM outlets.
Note: In some part of country, the access of ATM is very limited. In such condition, we recommends our traveler to carry few cash for your emergency service.
13. Is giving tip mandatory to guide/driver/porter?
Tipping a guide in Nepal is a small way of honoring them right back. Tipping is also taken as token of love and as a gesture of satisfaction from the guests.
