Acclimatization
There is no way to prepare for altitude other than to spend time at altitude. Being in very good physical condition will help ameliorate some of the exhaustion that people often feel, but it will not prevent altitude caused medical problems such as Acute Mountain Sickness. This itinerary is designed with a high degree of awareness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) in mind and to ensure a comfortable and safe adventure trek in the Himalayas. Staying well hydrated and getting plenty of rest may help.

The maximum elevation of this trek will be reached at Thorong la at altitude of 4130m above sea level. Obviously this altitude range is high, but as we would be e range of altitude, and we are hiking from the 820m to this altitude range with enough days of hiking en route, it is not considered a high risk zone for AMS. However, AMS could affect to the peoples indifferently.

Travel Insurance & Vaccination
You must obtain personal travel insurance to join us for our Himalayan trips. You must be having a travel insurance which must cover helicopter evacuation, trip cancellation and medical expenses. And it is suggested that you buy your insurance policy from you homeland country before traveling as it is difficult buying local travel insurance policy for foreigners in Nepal.

Vaccination is required to plan to your trip to Nepal but it is not a must to have thing to come, but highly suggested. Your doctor will have the information of vaccination you would require to the country you will be traveling.

Hepatitis A, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio, Rabies, Tetanus, Typhoid and Malaria etc. are the recommended vaccination for traveling to Nepal.

Trekking Seasons
We do have two best seasons to attempt this trek to Tamang Heritate Trek. We always suggest you to come at the right time of the year as far as possible to enjoy this trip at best weather condition.

Spring: - (March, April, May) - Best warmest time to trek. Rhododendron flowers in bloom- excellent trails and clear skies, best visibility. Good Temperature, warmest weather of the year.

Autumn:- (Mid September, October and November) - Excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility. Best Time to Trek

Winter Months: - (December, January and February) are also good, but it’s obviously colder. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to you to plan this trek at this cold time or not.

Summer: - Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid June, July and August). We do not suggest you this time for the trek.

Langtang Valley Trek with AA: Best Trekking Guide, Porter & Hospitality Service

Ms. Hsing Ling

This is my 3rd time to Nepal and 2nd time trekking with Advanced Adventures. The service provided by Chet’s team is top notch, from the time we arrived at the airport, the Trek, and the departure - everything is well-thought of and planned. In this trip, Ram Timalsina was our guide - with more than 15 years of experience, he was the perfect guide and provided the best arrangements for us along the Langtang Valley Trek. His knowledge is so extensive and he is so helpful even to others. His connection with the villages along the way also speaks volume of his good reputation among the locals in the mountains. Together with Kishor, our porter, they make a perfect guide + porter pair with such good humor, laughter and even deep conversations during our 8-day Langtang Trek. I would highly recommend Booking your next trekking trip with Chet, Ram & Kishhor!

We had a really great experience with Advanced Adventures !

Ms. Johanna Hansson & Mr. Luke Sullivan

We just came back from a 13 day Annapurna Sanctuary Trek with Advanced Adventures. We had a really great experience with Advanced Adventures, who were extremely informative and helpful from our first inquiry months before our arrival until the last day of the trek and beyond. Our whole stay was catered for extremely well, and with Advanced Adventures there was no need to worry about any practicalities at all once in Nepal, it was all taken care of (permits, accommodation, taxis, buses etc).

In the trek, there was just the two of us and our guide Ram and porter Depak. Both Ram and Depak were extremely helpful, friendly and fun to spend time with. Ram was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the mountains and Nepal in general, and he was also very easy going letting us take things at our own pace and mix it up for days we were feeling energetic and days we were feeling tired. We would definitely recommended Advanced Adventures to anyone considering trekking in Nepal.

From Advanced Adventures:- Johanna has her travellers Blog and she has written about her trekking experience to Annapurna Base Camp with us, if you are interested to view, please find our travel blog on this link below- http://unstuckinworld.com/2013/12/17/trekking-to-the-annapurna-base-camp-in-nepal/

Breakfast and dinner is to be provided from the same tea- house/ guest house we would overnight but lunch would be en route in between.

Foods provided are depends on the availability of the Mt. lodges we would be staying but in general, you can have Nepalese foods (Dal Bhat), Tibetan fried bread, various soups, Momo (steamed dumplings), potatoes, pastas and even a version of pizza! So, over all you have a different choice of food on trek.
